Welsh Assembly Government have announced their continued support of Urbanwalks throughout Wales.

The Welsh Assembly Government's Sustainable Transport Department have announced their continued support of the Urbanwalks initiative throughout Wales.

After a successful 18 month pilot where 13 bilingual Urbanwalks booklets were produced in Gwynedd, Carmarthenshire, Wrexham and Cathays Park, Cardiff, the Welsh Assembly Government would like to see the Urbanwalks initiative rolled-out to other parts of Wales.

The continued support of the Welsh Assembly Government will provide additional organisations in Wales with part funding to bring on board Urbanwalks to produce walking routes for their local community, as well as continued support to the existing areas who wish to deliver more walking booklets.

The aim of the Urbanwalks initiative in Wales is get more people walking more often in their local area.
